In 1948, Harry and Rose Ostrach opened an oasis of personal service and a unique refuge from the hard workaday world. Since that time the shop has moved twice, opening in its present location in 1960.

Not much has changed since then. We strive to maintain personal relationships with our customers, and we look to provide selections and suggestions tailored to each customer’s needs.

I am indebted to my grandparents. They taught by example, without fanfare. Plain dealing, respect for self and others, fairness, regard for the inner rather than the surface appearance: all characterized their lives and their business. They have left a rich legacy that we strive to maintain.
